It started with a 5:00 am idea between two friends while waiting in the airport to begin a weekend trip in Dublin. This idea germinated and blossomed into Island Manna Group of Companies with the sole vision of beginning a movement towards a circular economy for food and nutrition security in The Bahamas.

As depicted in our logo, the lighthouse - is a beacon of hope during treacherous seas. Island Manna aims to bring hope to The Bahamas’ food systems during times of increasing food prices and fluctuating climatic conditions.

Island Manna Farm Store is dedicated to implementing sustainable food, agriculture, and marine practices across The Bahamas. We are committed to consistently “Plowing the Way for Growth” in the Bahamian green, blue, and orange economies to strengthen our existing food system. We do this in three ways:

• One, through the sale of farm supplies and inputs to help Bahamian farmers and fishermen businesses grow 

• Two, through learning resources and extension services to ensure that best practices are known and used - explore our learning platform - MannaMinds Connect!

• Three, through networking with other organizations and providing project support that leads to agricultural and fisheries development.

Based on the pillars of sustainability—Environment, Economic, Social—while focusing on developing niche markets in the green and blue economies, Island Manna Farm Store’s goal is to assist its clients with positioning their agri/mari-businesses to meet the needs of new and innovative sub-markets. Our solution is simple - we are #plowingthewayforgrowth - in other words, we aim to prepare the way for farmers and fishers businesses for us to all grow together.
